Thepla

  • 3 bowls wheat flour (atta)
  • ¼ bowl chopped fresh methi
  • ¼ bowl chopped coriander
  • 1 tablespoon green chillies paste
  • 1 teaspoon Simba Mbili garlic powder
  • 2 ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon Simba Mbili turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Simba Mbili cumin power
  • 3 tablespoons of oil for dough
  • Oil needed for shallow frying.
  • Mix the flour together with oil and rub. Add the remaining above ingredient to the flour and make a dough using water if necessary. Make a small ball from the dough.
  • Coat these in a wheat flour and roll each out into round shape,
  • Heat a non-stick flat frying pan, add one tablespoon of oil to it and shallow fry each thepla in this.
  • Turn over and cook until lighty browned, adding oil as necessary during this process.
