Sticky Spare Ribs
- 1 kg ribs
- 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
Bbq sauce
- 4 tablespoons ketchup
- 3 tablespoons clear honey
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce light (but i used dark)
- 3 tablespoons red vine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Simba Mbili mustard powder
- 65 ml water
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- ¾ teaspoon Simba Mbili red chilli powder
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- Place the spare ribs and red wine vinegar in a large sauce pan of salted water. Bring to boil, simmer for 15 minutes.
- Add all the bbq sauce ingredients to pan and bring to boil. Stir occasionally. Simmer for two minutes and season with pepper.
- Strain the ribs, place in a large container and marinate with the sauce for 2 to 3 hours or overnight.
- Place the marinated ribs in a baking dish and bake for 45 minutes at 180 degrees centigrade in an oven.
