Pork Belly

  • 700grams of pork belly

    Marinate.

  • 4 tablespoon vinegar
  • 4 talblespoons light soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Simba Mbili rosemary
  • 2 teaspoon Simba Mbili garlic powder
  • Green chilli paste
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • ½ teaspoon Simba Mbili black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Mix all the ingredients for the marinade.
  • Add the pork belly to the marinade and let it marinate overnight.
  • Keep in fridge.
  • The next day, dry the pork belly at the top on a paper towel and keep the remaining marinate in the baking dish.
  • Add the pork belly to the baking dish and sprinkle salt over it.
  • Cover with foil and let cook for 45 minutes at180 degrees Celsius in the oven.
  • After 45 mins in the oven.
  • Heat the grill and cook the skin for another 30 minutes, or until the skin starts to bubble.
  • Serve hot.
