For the batter

  • 1 cup rice flour
  • 1/2 cup sour curd
  • 1 tsp chilli paste (green chillies mixed in a grinder)
  • 1/2 cup coriander leaves (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1/4 tsp asafoetida (hing)
  • 1/4 tsp Simba Mbili turmeric powder
  • Water as required
  • Salt to taste

For spreading

  • Banana leaves

Method:

  • Mix all the ingredients (except the banana leaves) and form a batter like the one made for dosa.
  • Grease banana leaves with oil.
  • Spread the batter over one leaf and cover it with another leaf.
  • Roast on a pre-heated griddle (tawa) for 2-3 minutes.

Additional notes:

  • Serve with coriander green chutney and masala green chilli.
