Paneer Bhurji

  • 250 gm cottage cheese
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 green chilli
  • 2 finely chopped onions
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 finely chopped capsicum
  • ½ tsp Simba Mbili turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • ½ tsp Simba Mbili cumin ground
  • 2 tsp Simba Mbili red chilli powder (can put one teaspoon or use Simba Mbili paprika for making mild)
  • 2 finely chopped tomatoes
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp dry fenugreek leaves

  • ¾ tsp Simba Mbili garam masala
    Coriander leaves
  • Grate paneer
  • In a sauce pan heat oil, add cumin seeds, green chilli, and onions and let cook. When onions soft and cook on medium flame.
  • Add garlic and ginger paste and fry for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Add finely chopped green capsicum and let it cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Add ½ tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, ½ tsp Simba Mbili cumin powder, 2 tsp Simba Mbili red chilli powder or Simba Mbili paprika. And stir and cook on low flame.
  • Add finely chopped tomatoes and add salt and let it cook and wait until its soft. Add 1 tablespoon butter. Add ½ cup water and let it cook while covering it.
  • Then add the paneer and let it cook. Add the dry fenugreek leaves, garam masala and let it cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Garnish with coriander.
