Jeera chicken

  • 1 chicken cut into small pieces without skin
  • 2 red onions sliced
  • 2 tablespoon simba mbili cumin (jeera)ground
  • ½ Teaspoon simba mbili ginger powder
  • 1 teaspoon simba mbili garlic powder
  • 1 – 2 teaspoon green chilly
  • 1 teaspoon simba mbili gram masala
  • 2-3 whole cinnamon sticks
  • 4-5 pieces cloves
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • handful of chopped coriander 
  • Heat oil and butter in sauce pan.  Add whole cinnamon, cloves and cumin seeds.
  • Add sliced red onions and cook until slightly browned.
  • After 5 mins add cut chicken, garlic powder, ginger powder, green chilly, salt, garam masala and little water and let it cook
  • When it’s ready, add cumin (jeera) powder. Sprinkle chopped corriander.
  • Serve hot with bread, chapaties or naan.
