Honey Chilly Garlic Potatoes

  • 4 potatoes.
  • Oil for frying
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seed oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 1 onion sliced
  • ¼ Teaspoon green chilly paste
  • ¼ Teaspoon simba mbili ginger powder
  • ½ Teaspoon simba mbili garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon teriyaki sauce
  • Handful of spring onion and coriander for garnishing

Ingredients for Batter:

  • ½ Cup corn flour
  • ¼ Cup home baking flour
  • Salt to taste
  • ¼ Teaspoon green chilliy paste
  • ½ Teaspoon simba mbili garlic powder
  • ¼ Teaspoon simba mbili ginger powder
  • ½ Teaspoon simba mbili black pepper ground
  • Water
  • Mix all the ingredients for the batter and keep aside.
  • Boil the potatoes in a pressure cooker. Once boiled, remove the skin of the potatoes and cut the potatoes into cubes.
  • Dip the cubed potatoes into the prepared batter and deep fry.
  • In a saucepan heat 2 tablespoons of the sesame seed oil, add sesame seeds, add onions, green chilly paste, ginger powder and garlic powder.
  • Add fried potatoes, soy sauce, honey and teriyaki sauce.
  • Garnish with spring onion and corriander.
