Honey Chilly Garlic Potatoes
- 4 potatoes.
- Oil for frying
- 2 tablespoons sesame seed oil
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
- 1 onion sliced
- ¼ Teaspoon green chilly paste
- ¼ Teaspoon simba mbili ginger powder
- ½ Teaspoon simba mbili garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon teriyaki sauce
- Handful of spring onion and coriander for garnishing
Ingredients for Batter:
- ½ Cup corn flour
- ¼ Cup home baking flour
- Salt to taste
- ¼ Teaspoon green chilliy paste
- ½ Teaspoon simba mbili garlic powder
- ¼ Teaspoon simba mbili ginger powder
- ½ Teaspoon simba mbili black pepper ground
- Water
- Mix all the ingredients for the batter and keep aside.
- Boil the potatoes in a pressure cooker. Once boiled, remove the skin of the potatoes and cut the potatoes into cubes.
- Dip the cubed potatoes into the prepared batter and deep fry.
- In a saucepan heat 2 tablespoons of the sesame seed oil, add sesame seeds, add onions, green chilly paste, ginger powder and garlic powder.
- Add fried potatoes, soy sauce, honey and teriyaki sauce.
- Garnish with spring onion and corriander.
